UW-L is an important part of our western Wisconsin region. We are pleased that the current Chancellor Joe Gow is willing to take time in his busy schedule to share with us the latest challenges and opportunities that face our University. Whether we are students, former students, or interested neighbors we will enjoy meeting Dr. Gow and hearing about this important part of our Coulee Region community. Dr. Gow is the 10th chancellor of UW-L. He has previously served at Nebraska Weslyan University, Lincoln, Winona State University (2001-2004), and Alfred University in New York. He has studied journalism, speech communication and management development at Pennsylvania State University, the University of Alabama and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has served as the President of the National Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences and as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Popular Music and Society. He has authored a number of publications on popular music and news media. He is a guitarist and blues singer. Perhaps we can persuade him to sing part of his presentation.
