Tucker, who has served as the agency’s executive associate director along with Thai Vue, said his last day will be Monday.
Tucker said wants more time to do other things but still plans to be involved in the agency on a limited basis. He said he notified the agency’s leaders a year ago.
“I treasure my 22 years at the HMAA,” he said. “It’s been wonderful to be a part of the resettlement program locally and work alongside the dedicated Hmong and non-Hmong who have helped make it successful. I love the Hmong community and the agency. I can unhesitatingly state that I would do it again. The Hmong community has given me far more than I ever gave them. My many Hmong friends are family to me. I will always be involved with the Hmong community.”
Tucker said he plans to remain in the La Crosse area.
