Account Executive Joins AVS
Chip Tancil recently joined The AVS Group to further expand their regional business-to-business client base. He brings nearly seven years of sales experience to this account executive position. Prior to joining AVS, he was a National Account Manager for the Promotions Division at Wincraft, Inc. in Winona, MN. The AVS Group is an integrated multimedia marketing and training company. AVS employs a team of 25 professionals with experts who specialize in video production, Web services, instructional design, interactive programming, graphic design, presentation and live event support, writing, and marketing strategy services.
Anderson Joins Union State Bank
Jim Anderson has joined Union State Bank of West Salem as Loan Officer. Anderson has worked in the banking industry for nearly 17 years. He was Vice President, Loan Officer for Farmers State Bank/River Bank in Bangor. His loan experience includes agricultural, commercial, consumer and residential loans.

He is also a past council member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in West Salem. He received his B.S. Degree in Agribusiness from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville and has continued his professional education with the WBA and the Community Bankers of Wisconsin. Jim and his wife, Marjorie, have two children and reside in rural Bangor, Wis.
Community Credit Union Members Elect Four to Board of Directors
Community Credit Union's 75th Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, April 29, in the historic 311 Main Street location in downtown La Crosse. The following four board members were unanimously re-elected at the annual meeting and join current board members Kathy Lucey, Steve Stach and Adam Mueller to the all volunteer Board of Directors. Bill Colclough has served as Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse for the last five years of his 26 years at UW-L. In addition to these duties, he also is a member of Rotary East, member & treasurer of the UW-L Foundation, president of the board of directors of Junior Achievement, member of the board of directors of LADCO and on the Ethics Board for the City of La Crosse. He serves on various Community Credit Union committees, including Asset/Liability Management, Nominating and Business Loan committees. Mary Rohrer has served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Girl Scouts of Riverland Council for 28 years. In addition, she is a member of the downtown Rotary club, a national trainer with Girl Scouts, a state board member of Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, founded Camp Send A Kid with the La Crosse Tribune, co-lead for Scouting for Food, and Youth Council Grant Monitoring Chair - Work Force Connections. She serves the CCU Board of Directors as a member of the Facilities, Nominating, Policy Review, Strategic Planning and Business Resumption committees and as Chairperson of the Personnel, Community Relations/Legislative Affairs and Audit/Supervisory committees. She has served on the CCU board for eight years and is the current Board Chairperson. Jim Crothers has spent the last 33 years at Dairyland Power Cooperative as a
Power Dispatcher. He also participates in the Shamrock Club, Irishfest board, Rotary Lights and various committees with Dairyland Power. He is a current member of the CCU Facilities and Personnel committees and serves as Chair of the Policy and Business Resumption committees. Jim has served on the CCU board for 13 years. John McConaughey has served Community Credit Union for 13 years, eight of those as Chairman. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his 34 years in Financial Services and Risk Management. He is currently the Credit Operations Manager in the Souteastern United States for Trane's Commercial Systems. In addition, he has taught business classes at Western Technical College and has been a guest lecturer at UW-L in the business
department. He currently serves the CCU board as Chairman of both the
Asset/Liability Management committee and the Business Loan committee and serves on the Facilities and Personnel committees. Leading up to the annual meeting, on Friday, April 28, the second annual Old Fashioned Community Chicken Q was held to benefit the Girl Scouts of Riverland Council and the La Crosse County Historical Society. Vintage Girl Scouting memorabilia and uniforms were on display, as well as Model T and Model A vehicles. Participants also enjoyed visits from historical figures from La Crosses' past. The event, which also included a Ducane gas grill raffle, raised over $340 for each of the organizations. CENTRAL STATES WAREHOUSE Announces Rick Fuller As Logistics Supervisor
Cliff LeCleir, CEO of CSW, announced the promotion as part of the company's expansion into additional facilities. Rick Fuller previously held the position of Corp. Supervisor for Home Apt. Dev., LLC, with responsibility to oversee apt. dev. in three states. In his position at CSW, he will be responsible to efficiently organize and store customer products, oversee the need of contractors, clinic records, & companies desiring individual, secure space for their operations. He will also handle product distribution for several manufacturers. CSW has a development arm that leases office suites and will also acquire land for "Build To Suit" warehouse adn office projects. Fuller, his wife and three children reside in the La Crosse area.
Gundersen Lutheran Internal Medicine resident wins national competition
A Gundersen Lutheran Internal Medicine resident's poster and presentation was chosen tops in the nation. Matthew Mouser, MD, Internal Medicine was awarded first place for his presentation titled, "Bump, Set, Spike". Mouser's presentation describing an unusual case of Wegener's granulomatosis in a young volleyball player was given during the American College of Physicians convention in Philadelphia. There were over 160 other presenters in the clinical case poster competition. A total of ten presenters were designated as national winners, including Mouser.
Local Dentist completes Prestigious Cosmetic Program
Dr. T. John Carr of Holmen, Wisconsin has recently completed a nationally recognized Postgraduate Continuing Education Program in Esthetic Dentistry, it was announced today at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. "We had some of the best minds in the country teaching this cutting edge course", said Paul Belvedere, D.D.S., Program Co-Director. As a result, the University of Minnesota has become one of the premiere sites for introduction of both new technology and techniques in cosmetic dentistry. According to Paul Olin, D.D.S., M.S., Clinical Director of the Postgraduate Programs in Esthetic Dentistry, there are many recently developed materials and procedures in restorative dentistry. This program enables practitioners to incorporate the new technology into their practice. The Post-Graduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Minnesota was designed specifically to fill the gap between clinical research and dental practice. Because it took place one weekend per month over 4 months, the program never interfered with Dr. Carr's ongoing practice. "It is no exaggeration to say that Dr. Carr is now among the best informed cosmetic dentists in the world. " Dr. Belvedere noted. "The benefits to their patients should be obvious." Dr. Carr further distinguished himself by finishing 2nd in the written examination among the 38 participants completing the program. Program participants included Doctors from 11 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, and 3 other countries.

TCI Hires New Employees
TCI Architects/Engineers/Contractor, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of five new employees. TCI welcomes Ben Genz, Project Manager. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Prior to joining TCI, Ben worked for Hensel Phelps Construction Company in Denver, CO; and most recently for the M.A. Mortenson Company at their Brookfield, WI office. Ben is originally from Onalaska, WI.
TCI also welcomes Dawn Kvam, Administrative Assistant/Receptionist. Dawn recently relocated to La Crosse from the Chicago area. She possesses 17 years of experience working for three Custom home builders in the Chicago suburbs as a Selection Coordinator before coming to La Crosse. Her husband Ky, is a World Wide Account Manager with Federal Express. They have a daughter, Jennifer who lives in Gilbert, AZ; and a son, Nolan who recently graduated from the University of Iowa. Dawn and Ky are originally from Stewartville, MN.
TCI also welcomes Kimberly Marinelli, Structural Designer, EIT (Engineer in Training). Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
For the last 5 years, Kimberly worked for Durrant, an Architectural/Engineering firm in Dubuque, IA as a Structural Designer for mid-sized commercial buildings.
Kimberly is originally from Southwest Wisconsin and currently lives near Chaseburg with her husband, Andrew. TCI also welcomes Jeff Osgood, Designer/Draftsperson.
Jeff holds an Associate Degree in Architectural/Residential Design from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau. After graduation Jeff worked for Gorman & Company Inc. in Madison as a designer and later as a project manager.
He has also worked for Nu-Homes Inc. in Holmen as a Construction Manager, and for Select Trusses in West Salem as a Designer. He has recently relocated to his hometown of West Salem. TCI also welcomes Brian Busser, Project Manager.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Illinois State University, where he lettered three years in football. Brian worked for Johnson Construction in Stillman Valley, IL, where he is from originally.
