Sage, an ordained permanent deacon of the diocese, had been interim executive director for the La Crosse Catholic Charities from January until May 22, when he officially began full-time employment.
From 1992 to 2005, he was chief financial officer for the Family and Children’s Center in La Crosse. He is a founder and core community member at Place of Grace, a Catholic Worker house, and continues as vice president on the La Crosse Jail Ministry Board. He was a founding member of the board of directors of WAFER and was on the board of directors at Hunger Task Force.
Sage holds undergraduate degrees in accounting and business administration and a master’s degree in servant leadership. He recently completed the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center.
