Morrell to join Gundersen Lutheran medical staff
Gundersen Lutheran Imaging Services announces that David Morrell, MD, has joined their department to provide diagnostic imaging services. Morrell specializes is musculoskeletal radiology, particularly MRI and sports medicine. He can also offer radiofrequency ablation of osteoid osteomas, which is a rare benign bone tumor that affects young adults.
Morrell received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison. He completed his internal medicine internship at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Portland, Ore., and his diagnostic radiology residency and musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Ore.
Prior to joining Gundersen Lutheran Morrell practiced in Salem, Ore.
New ophthalmologist joins Gundersen Lutheran Eye Institute
The Gundersen Lutheran La Crosse Eye Institute welcomes Steven Whitford, MD, to their medical staff. Whitford sees patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and other eye conditions and is available for pediatric and oculoplastic referrals. Whitford is also seeing patients in Hillsboro as part of Gundersen Lutheran's outreach program.
Whitford earned his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He performed his residency at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va.
