North Central Trust Company's Senior V.P., Dar Isaacson Is Honored With Paul Harris Fellow Award

Dar Isaacson, was honored by the Rotarians of Valley View Rotary Club with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow award at their July 19, 2006 meeting. The club recognized Isaacson with the Paul Harris Fellow award in appreciation of his dedicated service to Valley View Rotary. Dar, past president of the club has been a Rotarian for 15 years. He is also involved in community service throughout the area, including, the International Friendship Gardens, Bethany Evangelical Church, La Crosse Family YMCA, La Crosse Estate Planning Council, AICPA/WICPA, Junior Achievement Board of the Coulee Region and is a fundraising leader with the Just Zoo-It project. Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Rotary Foundation's charitable and educational program. A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes $1,000 or in whose name that amount is contributed. It has been a practice of many clubs to award the Paul Harris Fellow to select members in appreciation of his or her service to the club. North Central Trust Company is a strong supporter of community involvement by its staff and applauds Dar for his dedication and involvement with organizations in the Coulee Region. Wipfli Hires general Business Accountant

Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik announces Margaret Ahne Herlitzka as Assistant Family COurt Commissioner

The law firm of Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik is pleased to announce that partner Margaret "Peggy" Ahne Herlitzka has been appointed as the new La Crosse County Assistant Family Court Commissioner. This appointment was made by the five La Crosse County Circuit Court judges and approved by the District Chief Judge, Michael Rosborough. This appointment is in addition to Herlitzka's recent appointment as a Supplemental Court Commissioner for La Crosse County for Judge Roger W. Le Grand. As an Assistant Family Court Commissioner, Herlitzka will hear matters in Family Court Commissioner Gloria Doyle's absence, or in the event of a conflict. Herlitzka's duties will include conducting hearings and enforcing orders related to child custody and placement, child support, spousal maintenance, and restraining and harassment injunctions. Herlitzka works extensively in the areas of family and personal injury law, and has been a partner with the Hale Skemp firm since 1995. She is a member of the Family Law and General Litigation sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin and has practiced in the Coulee Region since her graduation from Marquette Law School in 1989. In addition to her law practice, Herlitzka is actively involved in many professional associations and is affiliated with several community groups. She is the President of the Board of Directors of WAFER (La Crosse's primary food pantry which provides food for those in need), and is currently the President-elect of the La Crosse Business and Professional Women's group. Kimberly Marinelli Passes Engineer Exam

TCI wishes to recognize and congratulate Kimberly Marinelli, PE. Kimberly recently successfully completed her exam to become a licensed engineer in the state of Wisconsin. To be eligible to take the Principles and Practice or Engineering Exam (PE) in the state of Wisconsin one must: € Graduate from a 4 year ABET accredited engineering school. € Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE). € Obtain 4 years of experience under a licensed engineer. € Obtain 5 letters of recommendation from registered professional engineers. TCI is very proud of Kimberly's recent accomplishment of this most significant milestone in her professional career.

TCI Welcomes Back Darell Harlin

TCI would like to welcome back Darell Harlin, Project Manager. Darell holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Darell is relocating from River Falls, WI, where he worked as a Senior Project Manager for Bahr Construction, LLC. Prior to moving to River Falls, Darell worked at TCI in La Crosse as a Project Manager for several years. He possesses over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Some of Darell's most noteworthy projects include the University of Minnesota Molecular & Cellular Biology Building in Minneapolis, MN, and Cleveland Clinic in Naples, FL. He currently lives in River Falls with his wife, Kelly, and their children, Cooper and Sophia.

Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Neurosurgery Department Welcomes Clinical Nurse Specialist

Connie Schuh, MS, RN, CNS recently joined Mark Stevens, MD, Michael Ebersold, MD, and Helen Lethlean, CNS, in the Neurosurgery Department as an Associate Provider. She will primarily work with Dr. Ebersold. Connie recently completed her Master's in nursing at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. She is a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPR Prior to her position as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Connie has been employed with Franciscan Skemp since 1998 as a nurse in Cardiovascular Services.

Physical therapist joins Gundersen Lutheran Sports Medicine

Physical therapist Hanni Cowley, MS, PT, is the newest member of the Sports Medicine department at Gundersen Lutheran. Cowley completed her residency at Gundersen Lutheran and chose to continue working in the Sports Medicine department because of the great staff and their dedication to patients. Cowley received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2002, and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2004. Prior to Gundersen Lutheran, Cowley provided general outpatient physical therapy services in a rural area for the Barron Medical Center in Barron, Wis. Gundersen Lutheran Neurosurgery welcomes new physician assistant to staff

Physician assistant Parker Kelley, PA-C, is the newest member of Gundersen Lutheran's Neurosurgery staff. Kelley spent the last four years working in General Surgery at the Ministry Medical Group in Stevens Point, Wis., providing care to a wide variety of surgical patients. During that time, he helped perform a number of carotid endarterectomies and is excited to continue his work in neurovascular trends as well as begin to branch out into spine and cerebral procedures at Gundersen Lutheran. Kelley received his bachelor's degree in Cell Biology from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1991, and his Physician Assistant bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison PA program in 2001. Along with his four years in General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery at Ministry Medical Group, Kelley also worked as a physician assistant in Family Practice at Ministry and as a research associate in the UW-Madison Biochemistry department.

BUSH SITS ON NATIONAL TEST PANEL

Jeannie M. Bush, RDH, RE, CPE, recently participated in developing the fifth generation of the International Board of Electrologist Certification exam. The Thompson Prometric Group, whose clients include the National Board of Medical Examinations and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, facilitated the session in Newark, NJ. Bush states, "This panel of nine electrologists from all over the United States reviewed new test questions for congruence, relevance, difficulty level, plausible distracters, and the correct key. Thompson Prometric will now develop four new tests and create a bank of alternate questions." In October Bush will return to Newark to review the new tests. Gateway Terrace Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Scheduled for July 27

Downtown La Crosse's Luxury Condominiums are Complete LA CROSSE - Gerrard Corporation has announced that a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for Gateway Terrace Condominiums will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at 12 Noon to 1 p.m. on the corner of Sixth and Main Streets in downtown La Crosse. Refreshments for well-wishers will be catered on-site by Kate's On State. The $5 million project includes four floors plus rooftop terrace and partial basement, 17 luxury condominiums, a heated indoor parking garage, and one street-level 2,000-sq. ft. office to be occupied by Wachovia Securities, LLC in late July. All residences are ready for occupancy or are currently occupied. Four condominiums are available for purchase. The architect for Gateway Terrace is Yaggy Colby Associates of Rochester, Minn. The general contractor is Olympic Builders of Holmen, Wis.

HSR Names New Stockholders

The Board of Directors of HSR Associates, Inc., La Crosse, WI is pleased to announce the election of two new stockholders; Tom Kruser and Scott Gerzsik. Tom Kruser, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, is a 2004 graduate of the WTC Computer Information Systems Network Specialist program. Tom has 8 years of experience in network administration and 17 years of experience in CAD technologies. Tom has been with HSR since 1993 and will continue in his position as Information Technologies Manager. Scott Gerzsik, a registered electrical designer, is a 1982 graduate of Western Technical College. Scott has been with HSR since 1987 and will continue in his position as electrical designer. As recognition of their value to the firm, Tom and Scott join the existing group of 14 employee stockholders and owners.
