" That anti-gas tax resolution is awesome. To 5 cent shady: This would be an additional 5 cents a gallon hidden in the price. If Doyle would just pay back the $400 million he raided from the highway fund last budget to pay off the teachers union (which he promised to do), he could forget about this stealth tax. Besides, anyone who has driven in Wisconsin in the Road Work Season knows there is plenty of money being spent ripping up perfectly fine roads. No more road builder welfare is needed. "

Now, surprisingly enough, to him at least, we have a shortfall in the transportation budget. So what do we do? Make a tax against the big oil companies, that we know isn't enforcable.
Besides, in one of the other articles about the budget, I thought everyone was moving to Minnesota, so you shouldn't have to worry about the rising gas prices in Wisconsin. "

Let's get the 2,500 signatures or so together and then we can get it on the ballot, like they did with the war thing. That would send a message. Let's get people to go to EVERY city, village, and town meeting and request the same, a resolution against the governor's budget. There are quite a few people up for election in April. If they don't support a resolution against these higher taxes, then at least the voters will know where they stand. My guess is, based on the past experience not only see this come to pass, but we will also see another major veto re-write that will increase taxes on the working people, even more. "

Then they have asked the oil stockholders if they wanted to reinvest in hopes of making more money in the future and the stockholders said no. They said no because they see a harsh government environment that they think will tax their future profits and why jeopardize your retirement plan.
