" Aww thats a bitter sweet story. Sad that they had to be seperated but it's awesome that they found each other. I love stories like this - wish we had more of them. My Chi had two pups, never ever could I see seperating them. They have a bond like I've never seen before. I'm so happy for Levi and Cooper. I read this when it first came out but had to come back and read it again. :) "

" Pat at Diggity Dog does a great job with the dogs. He notices all of the small details with the them which makes it a great place to take the 4 legged members of our family. We never have to worry about her while she is there. Keep up the great work! "

" What a cute story, thanks for sharing that after reading that Houghtons owner lost two cats it's nice to hear a good story after that. Obviously an animal lover speaking here. "

" I adopted my dog from the Humane Society in March of '04. I was told that he had a sister that looked just like him, but with white paws (my boy is all black). She was being kept in the back with a respiratory infection, so I never got to meet her. I've always wondered where she ended up and I would LOVE to be able to meet my dog's sister. What a neat story. BTW, Diggity Dog Daycare is awesome (along with their neighbors at the Family Dog Center!). "

" The Humane Society does an outstanding job. Turn down a home for a dog unless the person takes two dogs? I didn't think anyone would be writing anything NEGATIVE about this heartwarming article. Just Shows: Try to be positive about something. Volunteer at the Humane Society and you will be amazed. "

" In the humane society's defense - There are sooo many homeless dogs in this area...the Humane Society and other rescue groups do their best to find these dogs homes. Obviously, these dogs were very lucky in finding such wonderful adopters! It's not always possible to place dogs that come into the shelter together in the same home when they are adopted. I know this all too well because I work with HART of Wisconsin, another local rescue team! We are all always looking for volunteers to help these animals. It would be great if more people would volunteer to help these local groups. I don't think people recognize how big of a problem the homeless animal population really is until they get involved! For all the other rescuers out there....."Good Job" and "Thank you" for all you do!!!! "

" I guess the Town of Holland feels differently. They want to force Eleanor Herrick (see Tribune story of a couple days ago) to get rid of her dogs, even though they have been together for a long time too. The dogs in this story shouldn't have been broken up and neither should Eleanor Herrick's dogs.
To the Town of Holland Board - Get some sense people! Let Eleanot keep her dogs! "

Baghdad's last refuge for orphaned and traumatised children is in danger of closing later this month when it finally runs out of funds. The man who runs it says he will take the children, many of them orphaned by the violence, into his own home rather than see them on the streets. His co-worker has already been murdered by a death squad." http://www.guardian.co.uk/video/page/0,,2038665,00.html

" Dogs do have feelings and connect to their siblings. They shouldn't even be broken up when they are together that long. Too bad the Humane society can't figure that out. "

" That is so neat that the dogs are back together! After years without a dog, I broke down and got a house dog. We went to MN to get her. When we got there it was her and 2 brothers. The one brother was getting adopted out and we couldn't leave the one pup alone so I bought him for my sister. Our pups had so much fun together until he died in November, but you could tell they were siblings - I think we all cried as much as she did, as she still looks for him. It's nice to hear these dogs found each other again! "
