Published - Monday, April 23, 2007 Keith and Sam moving up the dial to 94.7 After 17 years together on the morning shift at WIZM-FM, Z93’s Keith Carr and Samantha Strong are moving to Classic Hits 94.7, KCLH-FM. Both stations are part of the Mid-West Family Broadcasting Group. The switch will occur at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. “It is a great opportunity to play music that was popular when I started at Z93 and a chance to grow up gracefully,” said Strong, who has been on Z93 for 21 years. Strong also will be the new program director for Classic Hits 94.7. Brian Michaels, operations manager for the radio group, said existing staff members will fill in during the morning shift on Z93 until a permanent replacement can be found. “There will be a nationwide search for a new morning show. We’ve already received dozens of tapes and resumes,” Michaels said. Strong and Carr will replace the former morning duo of Todd Hunter and Holly Traffas on Classic Hits 94.7. Hunter relocated to Minneapolis at the end of March, Michaels said, and Traffas, a former freelance columnist with the La Crosse Tribune, has decided to leave the station, wanting to spend more time with her family.
