Three charged in suspected gang activity

Several members of a suspected gang face charges in what authorities claim was the planned attack on a member of a rival gang Tuesday evening in Holmen, Wis.

Moua Xiong, 22, of 508 N. Ninth St.; Vong Vang, 23, of W4950 Hwy. B; and KoJoua Vu, 17, of 1011 East Ave., Onalaska, Wis.; each were charged Wednesday in La Crosse County Circuit Court with conspiracy to commit felony aggravated battery and party to the crime of disorderly conduct while armed.

According to court records, the adults and four juveniles, all members of the gang True Asian Bloods, went to Holmen prepared to attack a member of the Crazy Hmong Boys in retaliation for the March beating of a teen in La Crosse.

Although the group came armed with baseball bats, tire irons, pool cues and wrenches, the attack did not happen because teens outside the house on the 800 block of Starlite Drive managed to run inside when the rival gang members arrived, according to a criminal complaint.

Juvenile charges are pending against the four juveniles, according to prosecutors.
