There's nobody in between and that's just the way it is. About this whole situation that happened though, I still think that people are taking it MUCH to seriously. Think about it. At least nobody was hurt. Those who were charged with the charges named in the article shouldn't even have to worry about getting charged with felonies. Maybe something less. Like I said, at least nothing happened. They knew better than that. It's not that I'm choosing their side because I'm not. I just wish everyone else could also see it from their point of view but it seems to me as if others don't even take the time to know the truth. "

" I am a wise person. Actually, to tell you the truth, I've lived a life on the streets all my life. I have a tough external and a soft inside. I have sympathy for a lot of people with every situation there is possible in life. I know what those people were thinking when they were there that day. I'm not 100% sure, but I can assume and I know my assumption is good. "A concerned Hmong Parent," I understand that you are probably worried about somebody you know or somebody you loved getting hurt by somebody on the streets but if only people kept to themselves, problems wouldn't be brought upon them. Gangs will ALWAYS be around. No matter how much I will ever change, I'll always be known for the gang I used to represent. It seems as if with the Hmong, you're either naughty or good. "

" It's called the Boy Scouts of America! Face it, kids joing organizations to feed that sense of belonging that we all have. What a lot of kids need to some attention and involvement, from parents, extended family and community. Unfortunately, knowing a number of Hmong families where both parents have to work (sometimes multiple jobs) to make ends meet, this sometimes leaves kids without the attention they need. Let's hope some community members can step up and help fill the void, instead of sitting on their duffs and complaining! "

Whether the individual reading the news consciously believe that Hmong are the only people into gang is up to the individual's intellect to draw his/her decision. I don't think anyone with any grain of intelligent would deny that their own members are never into gang. Every race has their share of bad apples. It’s the FEW bad apples that ruin it for the rest of us. When you're a minority, the bad publicity will magnify 100x more. So the REAL concern here is...How can we educate our Hmong youth who are into gang and get them make a wiser decision in life? "

" WOW! I thought the days of Hmong gangs are a thing of the past and are usually composed of little 13-15 years old kids whom may have been easily coerced to join gang? To hear and read in the news that there are grown adults Hmong gangsters roaming around the community causing trouble to members of their own community are such a DISGRACE to themselves; to their parents and to the community at large. Ask yourself what do I achieve by hurting one of my own kinds? When you hurt or kill a member of your own community, you are destroying a part of who you are as Hmong. Who will weep for the lost? It's not the whites/blacks/haspanic; it’s everyone within the Hmong community. You are privileged a life in a land that only many can dream of living...Why not make yourself a productive citizen? "

Quit critisizing and trying to put people down and instead say something positive to help the situation. It's just as bad to critisize. People say that Gangs are dumb but the reason why they are the way they are is because they don't get that love and support from their family. Go ahead and reply saying that I'm dumb but I'm not. I've been through this and I'm still young and going through it now. "

" You all act like it's only Hmong People who are living the street life as gangsters. If only you knew what runs through their minds and if only you knew why they even went there. I'm not sure myself but whatever the reason was is probably a big enough reason to even go there to Starlight Drive. They were smart enough not to do anything. Threatening is not right either but everybody is taking this situation way too seriously. Look what the CHBs have done. Most of them even got away. Quit taking sides and try to help. Quit calling these gangsters dumb, because they aren't. "

Go to school and do productive lives, help your families and friends. Life is beautiful, live it to the fullest that will be worth god's intention to put us on earth! "

" But this seems petty stuff to me. I mean, look at the old school weapons being used. In a way, these kids, probably from immigrant families, are keeping the old gang traditions (think West Side Story) alive for a new generation. A few of these kids might evolve into a life a crime, but I would venture to say that most of the gang members (on both sides) will look back on this with embarrassment some day. Throw the book at them, but don't make a monster out of a mere menace, Dennis! "

The person who called the cops, which I will not mention any names, was scared and they had every right to be because I would've been afraid of the TABs too. Other people who posted a reply to this article and wrote about how Hmong Gangs are making the rest of us Hmong Families look bad, I don't think what they do should affect or bother us because reputation shouldn't matter. It seems that to a lot of us it does matter. It shouldn't be stereotyping that matters, it should be the truth. So let others think what they want to think. "

The families I work with are very hard working and great families to have in our community. HOWEVER...the stereo-typing is coming from these punks that are coming into our community as gangs and ruining the reputations and respect most Hmong families deserve. These families need to step up and share their knowledge of how to act in our community. "
