Edward Jones Financial Advisors Rank the Firm Highest in Overall Satisfaction
Edward Jones financial advisors rank the firm highest in overall satisfaction, according to a newly released study by J.D. Power and Associates, said Cory Roupe, a financial advisor in La Crosse. The inaugural J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Financial Advisor Satisfaction Study ranked Edward Jones highest among the 10 financial services firms ranked. Edward Jones financial advisors gave the highest satisfaction ratings in teams of support, people and firm performance.
The J.D. Power and Associates study found that financial advisor satisfaction is related directly to investor satisfaction.
"Full-service investment firms with higher advisor satisfaction also have greater client satisfaction," the study said.
The report concluded that the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 U.S. Full Service Investor Study demonstrated that the relationship investors have with their financial advisors is a dominant driver of satisfaction, second only to competitiveness of portfolio.
In that 2006 study, Edward Jones was ranked highest by J.D. Power and Associates for investor satisfaction among full service brokerage firms.
"Highlighting the importance of the financial advisor/client relationship, (financial) advisors who feel their investment firm acts in the clients' best interest are more satisfied than those who do not," the survey said.
"We're delighted with this ranking, but the true significance lies in the connection to satisfying our clients," said Roupe. "We get great satisfaction from meeting with our clients face to face and building strong relationships in the communities where our clients live and work." About Edward Jones

Gundersen Lutheran Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders receives national award
The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons
(ACOS) recently named Gundersen Lutheran one of 31 facilities nationwide to receive a 2006 Outstanding Achievement Award. Only six percent of all cancer care facilities surveyed on site by ACOS last year achieved this status. The Center was also re-accredited with commendation as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program.
"This latest accomplishment puts Gundersen Lutheran at the high end of an already select group, since only one in four cancer programs across the United States are approved," said Roger Kwong, MD, Adult Oncology, chair of Gundersen Lutheran's Cancer Committee. There are currently more than 1,400 CoC-approved cancer programs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, representing close to 25 percent of all hospitals.
Approved hospitals diagnose and/or treat 80 percent of newly diagnosed cancer patients each year. By meeting commission standards, these facilities provide cancer patients with: € Comprehensive care and a multi specialty team approach to coordinate the best treatment options € Information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options € Access to cancer-related information, education and support € A cancer registry that collects data on type and stage of cancers and treatment results
