I have read the press release by Rep. Stephen Nass numerous times and not only did I find no hint of racism. I found only a genuine concern for University of Wisconsin-La Crosse students and the added cost that they would have to bear in tuition increases, which is something the UW-L bureaucrats are seemingly unconcerned with.
Mr. Cunningham conveniently left out the following quote from Rep. Nass’ press release, which undermines Mr. Cunningham’s purely partisan rant: “The UW-La Crosse Diversity Surcharge was dead in the water, even the Democrats and some Republicans on the committee wanted to kill it. However, my own leadership prevented that from happening,” Nass said.
Mr. Cunningham, were the Democrats who wanted to kill this surcharge racists too?
