Hale Skemp Law Firm Announces Addition of Attorney Bryant Klos and C.P.A. Kathy Martin

Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik is pleased to announce that Attorney Bryant Klos and Certified Public Accountant Kathy Martin have joined the law firm. Both Klos and Martin come to Hale Skemp from Klos, Flynn & Papenfuss, a law firm that served the La Crosse, West Salem and surrounding communities for over 60 years.

Attorney Klos is a graduate of the Marquette University Law School and has been practicing law for over 20 years. He focuses his practice in the field of civil litigation, including creditor rights, real estate issues, boundary line disputes, adverse possession, public highway land issues, trust and will litigation, general contract litigation and personal injury litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Attorney Klos was also named as a 2006 Super Lawyer by his peers.

C.P.A. Martin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She performs accounting and tax services for both individuals and businesses, including individual tax returns, corporate tax returns, partnership tax returns, probate tax returns, trust tax returns, guardianship tax returns and other accounting and taxation services.

Campbell brings 30 years of experience to Gundersen Lutheran - Prairie du Chien Clinic

David Campbell, MS, MHSA, has been hired as the new Prairie du Chien clinic manager. Campbell moves to Prairie du Chien from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he was the practice manager for the Physician Clinics of Baraga County Memorial Hospital. Previously he was a health administrator for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community and worked for seven years at St. Mary's Duluth Clinic Health System, Duluth, Minn., and various other positions over 30 years.

In Prairie du Chien, Campbell's experience will serve him well as he works closely with staff member, Clinic operations and the community. "My goal is to make the Clinic better by reaching out to the community," says Campbell. "Determining what people in the Prairie du Chien area want from their healthcare provider and then working with our physicians, medical providers and Clinic staff to meet those needs is a top priority." Nurse practitioner returns to Gundersen Lutheran

Deborah Hauser, NP, was employed by Gundersen Lutheran from 1979 to 1999 before taking a pain management position in St. Paul, Minn. Now, she brings her talent back to the Coulee Region where she'll make a big difference in the lives of her patients at Gundersen Lutheran in her new Pain Management position.

Hauser chose to study pain early on in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, intrigued by the topic and fact that everyone experiences some pain at some point in their life. A Wisconsin native, Hauser earned her bachelors in nursing from Viterbo University. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult nurse practitioner and certified pain management nurse.

Reardon brings unique experience to Gundersen Lutheran NICU

Tom Reardon, RN, has been a registered nurse in the Trauma & Emergency Center, a flight nurse with MedLink AIR, a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and most recently a Hospital operations manager. On June 15, Reardon took on a new role at Gundersen Lutheran as the clinical manager for the Gundersen Lutheran NICU.

Having worked in the NICU for five years, Reardon has already developed a relationship with the staff. "His previous work in our department and his work with MedLink AIR will make him a great fit as manager," says Kris Wiggins, administrative director, Pediatrics.

Reardon has been with Gundersen Lutheran since 1997.

North Central Trust Company Announces New Personal Trust Administrator

North Central Trust Company is pleased to announce the addition of Jason Munz as Personal Trust Administrator.

Munz comes to us with an array of experience in management and the real estate arena. He has received two degrees from UW-Platteville, a Bachelors of Science degree and a Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance. Munz will work directly with Personal Trust clients.

North Central Trust Company is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Kuhn as Personal Trust Administrator.

Kuhn has clerked for the Olmsted County District Court and the Internal Revenue Service. Most recently, she has been a consultant for CACI International, a provider of IT and network solutions for the federal government. Kuhn holds a Bachelors in Education Degree from Washington State University and has her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas School of Law. She holds both a Minnesota & Wisconsin State Bar license.

Roger Sherman, MD, MPH Joins Franciscan Skemp Obstetrics and Gynecology Department

Roger Sherman, MD, MPH recently joined the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Sherman earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas. He also earned a Master of Public Health from Emory University School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Sherman is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Prior to joining Franciscan Skemp, Dr. Sherman served as staff physician in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology for the United States Air Force at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

FOUR PARADE HOMES JUDGED BEST FOR PRICE AND DECORATING

Judges predominantly from the La Crosse Area bestowed awards to four builders in the 2007 Parade of Homes® based on their workmanship, design and value. One home also was judged as the best decorated.

The judges for this year's parade were people familiar with the building industry but who did not have existing relationships with builders.

WIPFLI HIRES STAFF ACCOUNTANTs

Wipfli LLP, a CPA and business consulting firm located at 2 Copeland Ave., is pleased to announce the addition to our La Crosse staff of Elise Boam in the position of Staff Accountant. Her duties will consist of preparing financial statements, processing payrolls, and payroll reports for small to medium size clients. Boam comes to Wipfli from Spacesaver Systems of NJ, Inc., where she was a Controller for 16 years. Her experience also includes working as a full charge bookkeeper/office manager for a law firm, and 12 years in the banking industry with time spent auditing, lending, and ultimately branch management. Boam graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, of Madison, NJ with a bachelor of science in accounting.

Wipfli is also pleased to announce the addition to our La Crosse staff of Jeanne Zibrowski in the position of Staff Accountant. Her duties will consist of preparing financial statements, processing payrolls, and payroll reports for small to medium size clients. Zibrowski comes to Wipfli with 16 years experience as a public housing staff accountant. Her experience also includes working as a state tax accountant, a team leader in tenant accounting, continuing education in supervisory management, and she has a public housing manager certificate. Zibrowski graduated from Western Technical College with an associate degree in accounting and an associate degree in human resources.
