Suspected drunken drivers collide near Homer, Minn.

.
Police say one car ended up in the ditch after two allegedly drunken drivers collided on Homer Road near Club View Road early Thursday morning.

Both vehicles were traveling south and were side-by-side. Corey Wayne Dulek, 25, of Dakota, Minn., was driving in the left lane in a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. The second driver was Jamie Lynn Bottcher, 21, of Winona was in a 2001 Volkswagen Passat in the right lane.
According to the police report, Dulek tried to make a right turn and struck Bottcher’s car, sending it into the ditch.

Bottcher suffered a cut on her arm but refused medical treatment. Police cited her with drunken driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.17 percent.

Dulek was referred to the county attorney’s office for charges of no insurance, making an improper turn and criminal vehicular operation.

A preliminary breath test showed he was over the 0.08 percent legal limit. Pending the results of a blood test, he could also be charged with drunken driving.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

" How Ironic. Think they learned their lesson? Be it a lesson to all drunk drivers. Another drunk may hit you! "

" Talk about letting the punishment fit the crime! Let these selfish, moronic drunks out at the same time to hit each other only... instead of killing beautiful high school kids or other innocents. "

" How am I supposed to drive home from the bars all jagged up, if all these drunks are going to be out there crashing into my car. I'll get a drunk driving ticket and it won't even be my fault! "
