Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Welcomes Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist

Mauricio Infante, MD, child and adolescent psychiatrist, recently joined Franciscan Skemp Healthcare.

Dr. Infante earned his medical degree from Universidad del Valle Medical School in Cali, Colombia. He completed his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN. Dr. Infante also completed a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Dr. Infante is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is subspecialty certification eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Prior to joining Franciscan Skemp, Dr. Infante worked in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He practiced Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Institute and Clinics, UW Hospital and Meriter Hospital in Madison.

Oral surgeon joins Gundersen Lutheran

When John Brunetti, DMD, completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Gundersen Lutheran this summer, he didn't have to look far to find the place to start his career. He chose to stay on as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Gundersen Lutheran, and looks forward to helping train the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

Brunetti will care for patients with a variety of needs however, dental implants, anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology and reconstruction, and trauma surgery are some of his special interests.

A native of Chicago, Dr. Brunetti received his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. From there, he went on to complete dental school at Southern Illinois University, Alton, Ill., and his internship in hospital dentistry at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, before moving to La Crosse for his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Gundersen Lutheran four years ago.

Gundersen Lutheran Dermatology department adds new physician

Alexia Passe, MD, begins her career in Dermatology at Gundersen Lutheran after completing her residency training at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Passe was able to see the working environment at Gundersen Lutheran first-hand when she completed her transitional internship through Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation in 2004. Prior to the time she spent at Gundersen Lutheran, Dr. Passe spent several years doing various types of research. In 2002, she received her master's degree in clinical research at the Mayo Graduate School. Then, in 2003, she completed her medical degree at the Mayo Medical School.

Now, as a doctor in dermatology, she looks forward to caring for patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. She has special interests in skin cancer, particularly melanoma, women's health issues and dermatologic procedures. Dr. Passe also enjoys the overlap between dermatology and other specialties, like pathology, surgery, infectious disease, oncology and rheumatology.
