Pertzsch Design Receives State Certification as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise
The Wisconsin Department of Commerce has certified Pertzsch Design, Inc., a La Crosse-based interior design firm, as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). Information regarding Pertzsch Design's services will be electronically listed for use by any public or private entity seeking women-owned firms for contracting opportunities. This three year certification of eligibility is valid until July 24, 2010.
According to Kathryn Pertzsch-Cottrell, president of Pertzsch Design, Inc., "There are many situations where a potential client would prefer to work with a woman-owned firm. In some circumstances, there is a requirement that a contract use a woman- or minority-owned firm. This certification positions us to maximize the benefits of our status as a woman-owned business."

JOSEPH VEENSTRA APPOINTED AS COURT COMMISSIONER
La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge Elliott Levine has appointed Joseph Veenstra as a supplemental court commissioner. Veenstra is an attorney with Johns, Flaherty & Collins.
As a supplemental court commissioner, Veenstra will perform limited judicial and quasi-judicial functions under the direction and authority of the chief judge and circuit court judges for La Crosse County.
Veenstra has been practicing law for nine years, focusing on litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, employment law, and criminal defense.
In addition to his law practice, Veenstra is actively involved in the community. As a physician assistant in the Gundersen Lutheran Radiation Oncology Department, Amber cares for patients with many types of cancer. Born in Orange County, CA, Sara has danced for Disney and performed in Sesame Street productions. She was accepted into the Orange County High School for the Performing Arts, performed with the San Francisco Ballet Company, and the American Ballet Theatre in New York City. She has choreographed for a production at the Commonweal Theatre, and taught master classes there and at Luther College.
