HUMAN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATES WELCOMES DIANE C. MONTE, LCSW, MSSW
Diane C. Monte will join the staff of Human Development Associates as a psychotherapist on Monday, September 24, 2007. Diane earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been previously employed at Franciscan Skemp Behavioral Health and Community Care Resources in Middleton, WI. She is a clinical social worker licensed by the State of Wisconsin. Diane has a special interest and training in the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. She also has experience working with the elderly and issues related to aging and disabilities. In addition she treats depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral disorders and adjustment issues.
Human Development Associates is a private counseling clinic that has been serving the Coulee Region since 1985. Staff at the clinic includes Marty Kreuzer, LCSW, LMFT, Patricia B. Richgels, LCSW, LMFT and David Van Dyke, M.D. Kreuzer and Richgels are the region's only certified sex therapists and specialize in the treatment of couples. They also have many years experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, grief, and trauma. Dr. Van Dyke is available for psychiatric assessments and medication management.

Thomas Rollie, MD, joins Gundersen Lutheran - Prairie du Chien Clinic
In his 26 years of practicing family medicine, Dr. Rollie continues to enjoy the continuity of care with a patient over a long period of time. He finds satisfaction in watching families grow and kids mature and being "able to contribute to their lives in a little way." He has special interests in urgent and emergency care.
A self-described "small town guy," Dr. Rollie looks forward to joining the Prairie du Chien community and providing its residents with the highest quality family medical care. Dr. Rollie's wife, Charlotte, a midwife and family practitioner, will also join the Prairie du Chien Clinic in September.

Kirsten Wyffels, NP, joins the Gundersen Lutheran - Harmony Clinic
In her career as a nurse practitioner, Kirsten finds satisfaction in combining her interests of rural health and geriatrics, so this position at Gundersen Lutheran will provide the best of both worlds. Kirsten will also work to support local physicians and providers at several Minnesota nursing homes. Specifically, she will increase support at Golden Living in La Crescent, Tweeten Healthcare in Spring Grove and Harmony Healthcare Nursing Homes in Harmony.
Kirsten says she especially enjoys getting to know her patients and building relationships with them. In addition she looks forward to meeting staff at the Gundersen Lutheran regional clinics.
Kirsten is board certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Michael Kalinosky, DO, joins gundersen lutheran - viroqua clinic
Delivering a baby is the favorite event in his profession, but Dr. Kalinosky also enjoys manual, preventive and emergency medicine. Additionally, he has interests in obstetrics and rural medicine. He looks forward to developing long-term relationships with the people and families of Vernon County and the surrounding area.

Franciscan Skemp Waukon Clinic Adds To General Surgery Services
Nathan Schneider, MD and Dan Mansfield, MD provide general surgery services at the Franciscan Skemp Waukon Clinic. Minor surgical procedures are performed at the clinic and other surgery at Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Schneider earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City and completed his general surgery residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He is a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Mansfield earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison. He completed his general surgery internship with University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and his general surgery residency at Eaton Hospital in Eaton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mansfield is certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of General Surgeons and Society of Laparoendocopic Surgeons.
Drs. Schneider and Mansfield also provide general surgery services at Winneshiek Medical Center - Decorah Clinic in Decorah. Dr. Schneider is moving to Decorah, Iowa from Des Moines where he recently completed five years of training in General Surgery. Dr. Mansfield joined the Mayo Health System in Wabasha, MN in 1997 and later moved to the Mayo Health System in Decorah. He has been providing general surgery outreach services to the Waukon Clinic for the past three years.
Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Welcomes Michael Van Norstrand, MD, PhD to the Gastroenterology Department
Michael Van Norstrand, MD, PhD recently joined the Gastroenterology Department at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare.
Dr. Norstrand earned his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Norstrand is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has earned subspecialty certification in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Christian Medical and Dental Association and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
Prior to joining Franciscan Skemp, Dr. Van Norstrand practiced gastroenterology with the St. Mary's Duluth Clinic Health System (SMDC) in Duluth, Minnesota for 12 years. He also spent three years as a gastroenterologist for the United States Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base before joining SMDC. Dr. Van Norstrand's special interests include ERCP, therapeutic endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease.
