Flags ordered lowered for two fallen soldiers

.
Flags across the state will fly at half-staff today to honor two Wisconsin soldiers killed in action in Iraq.

Gov. Jim Doyle ordered flags lowered in memory of Pfc. Timothy Hanson and Cpl. Jason Lemke.
Hanson, 23, of Kenosha, Wis., died Jan. 7 in Salmon Pak, Iraq, after being hit by enemy fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.

Cpl. Jason F. Lemke, 30, of West Allis, Wis., died Jan. 5 in Ibrahim Al Adham, Iraq, after his vehicle struck an explosive device. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.

According to Doyle’s order, flags are to be lowered at sunset and returned to full height at sundown.

" To be fair, we should keep them at half-staff for the 150,000 Iraqi's, and all the other US soldiers too. "
