UW-L made Kiplinger’s Top 100 best values in public colleges list in the February issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
UW-L ranked No. 39 nationally based on cost for in-state students and No. 38 for those who live out of state among more than 500 public, four-year colleges and universities.
Among the criteria judged were quality of students as measured by the academic performance of the incoming freshman class, admission rates, freshman retention rates, student-faculty ratios and graduation rates.
Other Wisconsin colleges on the list are UW-Madison, at No. 19 for in-state students, and UW-Eau Claire at No. 64.
