Whose line is it? Test your movie quote knowledge

.
We love our movies. And we love them even more when we can quote them. We quote them to our spouses (“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”), our friends (“I see you’re drinking 1 percent. Is that ’cause you think you’re fat? ’Cause you’re not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.”), our co-workers (“We need to talk about your TPS reports.”) and even our kids (“The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.”).

How well do you know your movie lines? Take our quiz, three ways, and find out. Why three ways? If we can get “beef, three ways” at trendy restaurants, we figure we can serve you three ways to test your knowledge and prove you are “the master.”

You’re on your own. Here are the quotes. Do you know who said them in which movies?

1. “Every day I come by your house and I pick you up. And we go out. We have a few drinks, and a few laughs, and it’s great. But you know what the best part of my day is? For about 10 seconds, from when I pull up to the curb and when I get to your door, cause I think, maybe I’ll get up there and I’ll knock on the door and you won’t be there. No goodbye. No see you later. No nothing. You just left. I don’t know much, but I know that.”

2. “I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”

3. “The new phone book’s here! The new phone book’s here! ... This is the kind of spontaneous publicity — your name in print — that makes people. I’m in print! Things are going to start happening to me now.”

5. “I carried a watermelon. I carried a watermelon?”

6. “You had me at ‘hello.’”

8. “You can’t really dust for vomit.”
