Genoa man dies in rollover accident on Hwy. 56
VIROQUA, Wis. — A Genoa, Wis., man died late Saturday from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash on Hwy. 56. According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department, Gregory W. Olson, 43, was traveling east on Hwy. 56 about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Shingle Hollow Road in the town of Harmony when his vehicle left the road. It hit a traffic sign and went airborne. The vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels. Olson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the Vernon County Coroner’s office. The crash remains under investigation.
