Kaye M. Meyers
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN/ BLOOMINGTON, Wis. — Kaye M. Meyers, 69, of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Heartland Post Acute Rehab Center in Platteville, Wis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington, with the Rev. Bart Timmerman officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. www.garrityfuneralhome.com.

Debra M. Buhr

HOLMEN, Wis. — On March 1, 2008, Debra M. Buhr passed away from a 2½-year battle with fallopian tube cancer, at the age of 51.

She is survived by her husband, Victor J. Buhr III; and her son, Cade M. Elliott of Holmen; one stepson, Victor J. Buhr IV of La Crescent, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Christina Buhr (fiance Brent Thesing) of Houston, Minn.; her mother, Helen Peterson; and a brother, James (Susan) Peterson of Holmen; three sisters, Nancy Gilbertson of Eau Claire, Wis.; Rose (Howard) Horman and Kathleen (Steve) Kamla, both of Onalaska, Wis.; six nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond W. Peterson; and a brother, David Peterson.

Deb spent a 31 year career with J.F. Brennan Co. of La Crosse. She was very thankful to Tony Binsfeld and Tom Kennedy for their support, thoughtfulness and kindness during her illness. Deb can be remembered for her passion for spending hot summer days with her family and friends on the river.

Special thanks to Franciscan Skemp oncology nurses and Dr. Gill for their kindness and support, and also the home care nurses and Hospice nurses.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holmen Lutheran Church, 228 Morris St. The Rev. Glenn Borreson and the Rev. Dan Henderson will officiate, and burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, rural La Crosse. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday, both at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Holmen Lutheran Church or the Fransican Skemp Hospice Program.

The Dickinson Family Funeral Home of Holmen is assisting the family.

Lucille Dunn

CASHTON, Wis. — Lucille Dunn, 84, of Cashton passed away in Orlando, Fla., on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Torkelson Funeral Home, Cashton. Pastor Todd Norvell will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, in the town of Clinton, Wis., near Cashton. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, both at the funeral home. Edward Paul Levy

SPARTA/KENDALL, Wis. — Edward Paul Levy, 76, of Sparta and formerly of Kendall, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kendall. The Rev. Richard C. Dickman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Smith-Nelson Funeral Home of Kendall is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eleanor M. Roraff

Eleanor M. Roraff, 95, of La Crosse passed away Sunday March 2, 2008, at her home. Funeral services are pending and further arrangements will be announced later by the Blaschke and Schneider Funeral Homes.

Kathryn Ann Terpstra

APPLETON, Wis. — Kathryn Ann Terpstra, 66, of Appleton, and formerly of La Crosse, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

She was born June 27, 1941, in Galesville, Wis., to Lester and Myrtle (Hendrickson) Hanson. She married David J. Terpstra on Sept. 28, 1981, in Duluth, Minn., and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2002. Kathryn was a loving mother and grandmother, she especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Janet VanPatten and her friend, Bob Komp of Appleton; her son, Roger and his wife, Julie VanPatten of Appleton; six grandchildren, Jesse, Nicholas, Christopher, Zachary, Trent and Brittany; a sister, Linda (Donald) Berra of Chaseburg, Wis.; and a brother, Russell Hanson of Onalaska, Wis. In addition to her husband, David; she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. The Rev. Stephen L. Terpstra will officiate. Burial will follow at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is preferred.
