Tillie Beranek

Tillie Beranek, 96, of La Crosse passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, March 4, 2008. She was born Sept. 16, 1911, in La Crosse to Frank and Anna Gerke. On May 26, 1936, she married Frank Beranek in La Crosse, and he preceded her in death in 1979. She enjoyed cooking at the places of business that she and her husband owned, which included The Village Grill and The Busy Bee Grill.

She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Women of the Moose Lodge 1920, the Eagles Auxillary and The Nakomis Grandmothers Club, where she was Grandmother of the Year in 1994.

Tillie loved taking care of her flowers, playing board games and watching soap operas; but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for always having baked goods and a candy dish that was endless! Tillie was an avid Packers fan, and on the day that Brett Favre decided to retire, so did she. However, knowing her love for the team, she’ll be rooting them on from heaven to continue on with their success.

Tillie is survived by two daughters; Shirley Storey and Sharon Beranek both of La Crosse; one son, Stan (Carol) Beranek of Las Cruces, N.M.; three grandchildren, Cheryl (Bill) Juen of Appleton, Wis., Tammy Roellich (Bob Gaul) of La Crosse, and Kyle Beranek of Mesa, N.M.; three great-grandchildren, Ross and Chelsea Juen, and Ashley Roellich; and two sisters, Millie Kaiser and Delores Knobloch, both of La Crosse; along with her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Schafer of La Crosse and Doris Gerke of Genoa, Wis.

In addition to her husband Frank; she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lisa Storey; grandson, Steve Beranek; her parents; and her seven brothers, Alvin, Edward, Ray, Gilbert, Leo, Carl and Clarence; along with two sisters, Florence Schams and Josephine Kendhammer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Kunz officiating. Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Robert M. ‘Goodyear Bob’ Burgmaier

MILWAUKEE — Robert M. “Goodyear Bob” Burgmaier lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the age of 61 years.

Loving husband of Mary (nee Palubicki). Dear dad of Robert P. and Leonard J. Cherished grandpa of Hayden, Cody and Marisa. Son of the late Robert and Verna “Butch.” Brother of Joan “Suzette” (Bill) McDonnell and Tom (JoAnne). Grandson of the late Joseph Burgmaier and the late Louise Thaldorf. Son-in-law of the late Nix and Flo Palubicki. Brother-in-law of Len (Pete) Palubicki, Danielle Burg, Patty Dawes, Francine Fitting and Margaret Burg. Special friend Bill Macki, Doug Zahn and Steve “Cash” Przybylski. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th St., Oak Creek, Wis., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse, with a Rosary service at 6:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman-Marian Chapel, 530 Main St., La Crosse. Bob worked for many years at Goodyear/Wingfoot and loved his job. He also served in the United States Army. Bob will always be remembered for his love and passion for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame.

Mavis J. Collins

Mavis J. Collins, 76, of La Crosse died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at her home. Memorial services will be announced by Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, La Crosse.

Fred E. Fibeger

Fred E. Fibeger, 93, of La Crosse passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Hillview Health Care Center, in La Crosse surrounded by family.

He was born in La Crosse on May 4, 1914, to Fred F. and Martha (Jahn) Fibeger.

Fred attended the vocational school in La Crosse, where he met Betty Berger. On Sept. 28, 1942, they were united in marriage at English Lutheran Church in La Crosse, where Fred was a lifelong member.

He served as a technical sergeant in the Philippines during World War II. Following his wartime service, Fred worked as a switchman for the Milwaukee Road Railroad until his retirement in 1978.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty; daughter, Susan (Keith) Behnke of Eagan, Minn.; sons, Fred (Rosanne) Fibeger of Rochester, Minn., and Thomas (Ann Olson) Fibeger of La Crosse; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hillview Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at English Lutheran Church, 1509 King St., La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. The Rev. Duane Baardseth will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Alan Wayne Helgeson

Alan Wayne Helgeson, 75, of La Crosse died in his home on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Services will be announced by the Dickinson Family Funeral Home.

Cleone Marcella Hoeschele

HOLMEN, Wis. — Cleone Marcella Hoeschele, 68, passed away March 8, 2008, after a yearlong battle with a rare heart disease. She was born Cleone Marcella Hanson on Dec. 26, 1939, in Ettrick, Wis., to Carl and Gladys (Nelsestuen) Hanson. They moved to Whitehall, Wis., and she graduated from Whitehall High School in 1958.

Cleone married John Hoeschele on March 28, 1958, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Whitehall. Cleone (fondly nicknamed “Coney” by her husband) and John had three children, Debbie, Tami and Danny; and six grandchildren. Cleone was a homemaker and also worked for the Holmen School District as a kindergarten aide from 1963 until 1973. The family moved to Racine, Wis., in 1973, Janesville, Wis., in 1975, and Baraboo, Wis., in 1979, where she worked as a bank teller. Cleone and John moved back to Holmen in 1997.

Cleone was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo for many years and a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wis., in the 1960s and 1970s and again for the past 10 years. She volunteered at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in the lunch program, and many years ago taught Saturday school and was a Girl Pioneer Leader. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Onalaska.

Cleone loved spending time with her family. She loved watching her grandkids grow up and participate in sports. She also loved to do crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader. Cleone loved to travel. She and John, along with other family members, took many trips each year in the United States. They also traveled to Germany, where John is from, and other places in Europe, including, Switzerland, Austria, England, Italy, Poland, Norway and Moldova.

Cleone loved to dance, especially polka with her husband and sisters. She and her sister Darlene took clogging lessons. She also loved to exercise: walking, hiking, riding bike, bowling and golfing were her favorites.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, John; she is survived by two daughters, Debra (Dan) Schwarz of Richland Center, Wis., and Tami (Charles) Eddy of Dousman, Wis.; one son, Daniel (Julie) Hoeschele of Baraboo; two granddaughters, Jennifer Schwarz of Madison and Melissa Schwarz of Richland Center; four grandsons, Brandon Eddy of Dousman, Travis Eddy and Lucas Hoeschele both of Stevens Point, Wis., and Anthony Hoeschele of Baraboo; four sisters, Mavis (Jerry) Jasper of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Dianne (Ardell) Thorson of Pigeon Falls, Wis., Darlene (Bob) Gabriel and Karen (Dennis) Lyon both of Hixton, Wis.; one brother, Sheldon (Bonnie) Hanson of Augusta, Wis.; her brother and sisters-in-law, Ludwig and Hanna Hoeschele, Hertha and Paul Squire, Pauline and Roy Grove, Helene and Gene Gaarder, Kristen Hoeschele, and Al and Cathy Hoeschele; also aunts; uncles; cousins; and many nieces; nephews; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sister, Susan; and her sister, Sandra Myren in 2007.

We know Cleone is in heaven, but she will be sadly missed by us here on earth.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Onalaska, with Pastor William Bader officiating. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska, and again from noon until the time of services Thursday at the church.

Aleda A. Johnson

LA CROSSE/COON VALLEY, Wis. — Aleda A. Johnson, 98, of La Crosse and formerly of Coon Valley died peacefully Saturday March 8, 2008, at Bethany Riverside in La Crosse. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Faith and Life Center on the campus of Bethany Riverside, 2575 S. Seventh St., La Crosse. FERRYVILLE, Wis. —Sylvester J. Manders, 39, of Ferryville died unexpectedly Friday, March 7, 2008. John M. Neal Jr.

LA CROSSE/GLENDALE, Ariz. — John M. Neal Jr. died peacefully in the early morning hours of March 8, 2008, at Odyssey Hospice in Las Vegas after a short illness. He was 59.

John was born in La Crosse on May 11, 1948, the first child of Betty (Briggs) and John M. Neal Sr. A sister, Lynnette, followed the next spring, and the family lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa before settling in Toledo, Ohio.

John is a 1966 graduate of Start High School. In 1968, he was drafted into the U.S. Army Infantry division and served as a soldier in Vietnam. He was wounded twice in battle and earned a Purple Heart for his service.

After he was discharged from the Army, John began a career in sales that spanned more than 30 years and took him to Detroit, Arizona and Florida. He retired early after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, a result of his service in Vietnam. Two years ago, he moved to Glendale to be closer to his family.

John enjoyed watching movies, going to the beach and spending time with his family and friends. He was well liked by all who knew him.

His mother, father, and several aunts and uncles predeceased him. John is survived by his daughter, Brandi Neal of Portland, Maine; son, Shaun Neal of Toledo; sister, Lynnette (Jim) Reece of Henderson, Nev.; close friend, Joni Jacobs of Arizona; close friends Steve and Rosemary Talmadge of Toledo; former wife, Merri Vosmera; and stepdaughters, Amber and Ashley Mitchell of Pensacola, Fla.; favorite aunt, Bonnita Wehrenberg of Sun City, Ariz.; close friend and cousin, Terry (Linda) Greene of La Crosse; cousin, Ruth Roeker of Sun City West, Ariz.; and several aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

There will be no visitation hours. A spring graveside service with full military honors is being planned at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution be made to your local hospice. The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice of Arizona and Nevada for making John’s final weeks comfortable and pain free.

George Evans Nettum

MADISON/VIROQUA, Wis. — George Evans Nettum, died peacefully in his sleep, Friday, March 7, 2008, three days from his 87th birthday.

He was born March 10, 1921, to Arthur and Mabel Nettum. He grew up, briefly in Los Angeles, mostly around Edgerton, Wis., as a farm boy. He was a gifted athlete, lettering in football, basketball and his favorite, baseball, at Edgerton High School. He was later inducted in the inaugural Edgerton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He went on to earn his freshman numerals in baseball at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His studies at the university were interrupted by his service as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was married during the war to Mildred Gessert. They were married for 61 years before her death in 2005. He graduated from the university in 1946 with a BS in agriculture. He went on to teach high school vocational agriculture and then became a veteran farm trainer in Dane and Rock counties.

In 1953, he moved his family to Viroqua, where he served as the Tobacco Extension Specialist for the UW Extension Service. In 1957, he became the general manager of the Northern Wisconsin Co-operative Tobacco Pool, a position he held for over 50 years, when failing health led to his retirement. He was active in the community, serving as a board member of the Viroqua Schools, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Chamber of Commerce, the State Bank of Viroqua, Kickapoo Reserve Management Board, and the board of directors of the Wisconsin Federation of Co-operatives. He was on the Vernon County Board of Supervisors for 35 years, where he was active in many areas, but he had a special interest in soil and water conservation.

He went on to serve in numerous local, regional and national conservation organizations. He was instrumental in the establishment of Southwest Badger Resource Conservation and Develop-ment Council. He was the recipient of numerous acknowledgments of his contributions to the community, and he was honored to have received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the university’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He was a quiet, humble and virtuous man with a wry sense of humor who led by example.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Reuben; and a granddaughter, Tena.

He is survived by three sons, John (Mary Sue) of College Station, Texas, Dr. Scott (Billie) of DeForest, Wis., and Dr. James (Viki) of Madison; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

There will be visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Viroqua, followed by funeral services. The Rev. Margaret Eiben Hoversten and The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan will officiate, with burial in Viroqua Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family would welcome contributions to the George and Mildred Nettum Scholarship Fund for Viroqua High School students pursuing careers in agriculture.

Ruth Jane Omans

Ruth Jane Omans died Friday, March 7, 2008, at the age of 89. She is united in heaven with those who preceded her in death, including her parents; her first husband, who was killed in World War II; most of her siblings; a nephew; and friends.

She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Barkley Omans; her children, Carole and Bradford Anderson, James and Diane Omans, Judson and Susan Omans, and John and Nadine Omans; and nine grandchildren.

Ruth was born in Holland, Mich. Her Dutch heritage was always important to her. She was raised in the Dutch Reform Church and had a strong faith throughout her life.

Ruth’s joy in life was her family and friends. She lovingly raised four children and was close to her nine grandchildren and her extended family. She and Barkley moved many times in their life, and she enjoyed keeping in contact with the many friends they had made.

She will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at First Presbyterian Church, 233 West Ave. S., La Crosse. The Rev. J. Taylor Haley will officiate. Burial will take place in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, Minn., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church. Marjorie E. Panico

Marjorie E. Panico, 87, of La Crosse and formerly of Madison and Long Island, N.Y., passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 2, 1921, in New York City to Ernest and Maeslyn (Pudner) Brockhaus. She married Fred R. Panico, U.S. Air Force, on Jan. 17, 1942, in Havana, Cuba. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Marjorie (James) Wanek of La Crosse; two sons, Fred Panico Jr. of Windham, Maine, and Mark Panico of Scarborough, Maine; four grandchildren, Daniel Wanek of Norwalk, Conn., Kathryn (Wanek) Ruegg of Waterloo, Iowa, Samuel Panico and Miranda Panico, both of Scarborough; and a great-granddaughter, Lana Rose Ruegg. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Carlson. She will be deeply missed by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev. David Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Boston at a later date. HOUSTON, Minn. — Merton T. Sather, 95, of Houston died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse, from complications of the flu. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Looney Valley Lutheran Church, rural Houston, with the Rev. Jeff Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Sun City, Ariz., at a later date. Pearl Saxton

Pearl Saxton, 92, of La Crosse, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Hillview Health Care Center. Pearl was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Mindoro, Wis., to Fred and Lizzie (Brookman) Kremmer. She married Stanley L. Saxton on June 4, 1938, in Bangor, Wis.

Pearl was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She was active in church Circle and also a member of Eastern Star.

Pearl loved the people in her life and always made sure her guests had plenty of her famous coffee and homemade cookies when they visited. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be forever missed.

She is survived by two sons, David W. (Sheila) Saxton of Seattle and Michael L. (Mary) Saxton of Phoenix; a daughter-in-law, Ginny Saxton, of Kettering, Ohio; grandchildren, Kathy (Frank) Ferrante, Dayton, Ohio, Christine Saxton (Tony Gurtner), Madison, Kim Saxton (Bridie Saccocio) and Cheryl (Robert) Hartman, both of Seattle; and great-grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew and David Ferrante, William and Dillon Hartman, and Calvin Saxton. She also is survived by a sister, Lorraine Hauge, West Salem, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews; relatives; and friends.

Pearl was preceded in death by her son, Stanley L. Saxton Jr.; and by her beloved husband, Stanley, to whom she was married for 62 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, at the First Presbyterian Church, La Crosse. The Rev. J. Taylor Haley will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 6 p.m. Thursday at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson St., and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the church.

Luella Julia Stokke

VIROQUA, Wis. — Luella Julia Stokke, 96, of Viroqua died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Bethel Home in Viroqua.

She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Wheatland Township to Theodore and Helene (Josvanger) Stokke. She was baptized March 26, 1912, at the old De Soto Lutheran Church on Powers Hill. Her sponsors were R. Anderson, D. Simonson and Luella Josvanger. She was confirmed in 1925 by the Rev. Maggellson. In 1931, she graduated from Central High School in La Crosse. From there she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her bachelor of science degree in home economics. She worked in Chicago a number of years and was employed in Milwaukee until her retirement. She was a resident at the Bethel Home in Viroqua since March 1995.

She is survived by one sister, Helen Stokke of Viroqua; nieces; and nephews; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verna Valesh; four brothers, Orlando, Edgar, Earl and Norris Stokke; twin nieces, Karen and Kathryn; brother-in-law, Charles Valesh; and two sisters-in-law, Mary and Esther Stokke.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St., (Hwy. 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Libby Howe will officiate, with burial in the De Soto Lutheran Cemetery, rural De Soto, Wis. Nellie Benora Summers

HOUSTON, Minn. — Nellie Benora Summers, 93, of Houston died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Valley View Nursing Home, where she resided the past 13 years.

Nellie was born Jan. 22, 1915, to Nels and Bell Flatten in Yucatan, Minn. She attended school in Yucatan and Houston High. On Feb. 22, 1933, she married Miles “Pete” Summers of Money Creek, where they lived for years before moving to Houston. Besides being a homemaker, Nellie worked at the hardware store they owned in Houston, and later as a hostess at the Valley High Country Club, which they owned and managed for some time. She also started the first Laundromat in Houston. Nellie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and activities with her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria (Earl) Patterson of La Crosse, and Bonnie (Carell) Foss of Fargo, N.D.; one son, Jon (Eileen) Summers of Islamabad, Pakistan; and eight grandchildren: Jenelle (Tom) Lee of La Crescent, Minn., Kris (Susan) Patterson of Mindoro, Wis., Craig (Jill) Foss of Rathdrum, Idaho, Scott (Debra) Foss of Garrison, N.D., Tim (Andrea) Foss of Evans, Colo., Kimberly Rhoads of Surprise, Ariz., Elizabeth (Chris Buhr) Summers of Grand Forks, N.D., and Sarah Summers of Wellesley, Mass.; and 12 great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband; and two sisters, Julia (Melvin) Summers and Leone (Henry) Hahn; one brother, Arnold (Anna) Flatten; one grandson; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Lane Zaffke officiating. Visitation and viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes-Houston Chapel, and one hour before the service Tuesday at the church. There will be private graveside services for the family.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Robert Dean Uhls, 49, of Huntsville died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, of colorectal cancer at Huntsville Hospital.

Robert was a native of Holmen, Wis. He served as an officer in the Army National Guard. Robert worked in management for Kroger Grocery Stores for 15 years before moving to Walgreen Drug Stores, where he worked until his passing.

Robert was a member of the Huntsville Christian Church. He enjoyed music, the outdoors and serving his community. Robert volunteered his time with many organizations, including chief of the HEMSI Search Dog Unit, HEMSI High Angle Rough Terrain Team and the Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Lee (Coover) Uhls.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda Sue (Sparks) Uhls of Huntsville; a son, Jonathan Dean Uhls of Huntsville; a daughter, Aubrey (Uhls) Evans and husband, Michael, of Knoxville, Tenn.; his father, Dean Uhls and wife, Diane of Onalaska, Wis.; two sisters, Jodene Warden of Onalaska and Trudy Volk of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, John Uhls of Greensboro, N.C.; a granddaughter, Carys Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Funeral services followed at the Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m., with Pastor Ryan Brewer officiating.

Oscar Gordon Waller

FALL CREEK, Wis. — Oscar Gordon Waller, 82, of Fall Creek died Friday in Eau Claire, Wis. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday in the chapel at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Cemetery, Janesville, Wis. A visitation with viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, Wis., and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the chapel.

Jerome ‘Jerry’ Wozney

INDEPENDENCE, Wis. — Jerome ‘Jerry’ Wozney, 78, of Independence died Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Grand View Care Center in Blair, Wis.

He was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Arcadia Township, Trempealeau County, Wis., to Frank and Mary (Przybylla) Wozney.

Jerry married Marian Halama on Aug. 18, 1956, in Independence. The couple farmed in Arcadia Township on the farm where Jerry was raised. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Order of Foresters. Jerry served on the Arcadia Creamery Board.

Survivors include his wife, Marian of Independence; a brother, Jim (Betty) Wozney of Arcadia; four sisters, Michaelene Reedy of West Salem, Wis., Dolores Higie and Joanne Ford, both of Las Vegas, and Kathy Ford of Morganfield, Ky.; special nephew, Jim (Marilyn) Reedy of Trempealeau, Wis.; and great-nephews, Prentice and Tyler Reedy.

Jerry was preceded in death by an infant twin sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with the Very Rev. Douglas C. Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

CORRECTION: Hazel Mc Cormick

The obituary published Friday for Hazel L. Mc Cormick, 87, La Crosse, omitted that she is also survived by a sister, Alice Tyler.
