Attempt to break world speed pool record falls short

.
World speed pool champion Dave “The Ginger Wizard” Pearson sped around two pool tables Saturday attempting to make history.

Pearson, 38, of Las Vegas hoped to break his own world record by clearing 10 tables of all 15 balls in less than eight minutes, 51.009 seconds during the 33rd annual Stansfield Vending Team Pool Tournament at the La Crosse Center.
Pearson gave up after nine exhausting tries and collapsed, sweaty and winded.

“I’m a bit disappointed,” he said. “The balls didn’t roll good for me.”

Pearson has broken 22 world speed pool records and currently holds four.

" Im still Jackson: Might want to check your facts before posting. The use of the facility is paid for by entry fees and Stansfield Vending, not tax dollars. And depending on what is scheduled in the main center, more often than not, these tournaments are held in the lower level. There really should be a screening process for posting...... "

" Your taxdollars at work hosting a Stansfield event on your dime using a facility built for MUSIC.......Hanson doesnt count ART!. "

" Hey nana3 - It didn't say nine tables, it said nine tries. Maybe he cleard 15 tables nine times but was too slow each time. I admit it was not a very informative story, but the video showed him clearing a table in less time than it would take me to set up my first shot! "

" Why would the Tribune print such a negative story? This will have a devastating effect on the community.
What about the children?
Have they dispatched the counselors so these people can discuss their feelings?
Have you no shame? "
