Published - Friday, April 18, 2008 Activities for April 12, 2008 Steve Lear, with the Jewish Community Relations Council, will present "Understanding the Middle East Conflict: A Hope for Peace" at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church, 2503 Main St., and "A Hope for Peace in the Middle East: Core Issues and Events after Annapolis" at noon Thursday at Viterbo University's Reinhart Center. The Scenic Coulee Circuit of the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society will hold its spring rally April 19 at English Lutheran Church, Viroqua, Wis. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Vicar David Horton will present his work with the Calvary Academy Ministries. The ELCA Women of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church will have a salad lunch and quilt show from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, 500 S. Main St., Westby, Wis. “Hmong Day,” with the Hmong Alliance Church and Hmong from Madison participating, will be at the 11 a.m. service today at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2117 La Crosse St. Sabbath School starts at 9:30 a.m. A potluck dinner will follow. “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage,” a seminar by Mark Gonger, will be at 7 p.m. April 18 and 6:30 p.m. April 19 at Christ Is Lord Church, 1269 Hwy. John Maxwell's “Maximum Impact Leadership Conference” simulcast will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at First Evangelical Free Church, 1950 Hwy. 35, Onalaska, Wis.
