We Say: Jeremy Schneider on Richie Sexson

On Friday, Seattle slugger Richie Sexson was suspended for six games and fined for charging the mound and attacking Texas pitcher Kason Gabbard on Thursday. No one else was suspended. Rightfully so.

The clip is still floating around online and if you watch it you can see Sexson’s attack was unjustified. Probably even premeditated.

The pitch was high, but it was nowhere near his head. In fact if it were lower it would have been in the strike zone.

It seems like Sexson was just trying to get his team fired up. But there are more efficient ways to do that without running the risk of injuring another player.
