Published - Thursday, May 15, 2008 Change announced in Winona concert WINONA, Minn. — Pierre-Laurent Aimard, originally scheduled to perform with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra on May 22 as part of the Minnesota Beethoven Festival in Winona, has cancelled his appearance due to a back injury. Conductor Jayce Ogren and pianist Jeremy Denk will replace him at the pre-festival concert at 7:30 p.m. May 22 at Saint Mary’s University’s Page Theatre in Winona. Ogren is the assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra and the music director of the Cleveland Youth Symphony. Denk won the Young Concert Artists Auditions and the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 1997, and since then has appeared with many major orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, London Philharmonia and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
