Flagman struck, killed near Chaska
By The Associated Press

CHASKA, Minn. � Highway 212 is closed in both directions west of Chaska after a motorist struck and killed a road construction flagman. It happened just before 7 a.m. Thursday.

MnDOT spokesman Kent Barnard says the flagman was a contractor’s employee working in a construction zone.
The State Patrol says a 73-year-old from Chaska was driving the Ford Excursion that struck the flagman.

No other details were immediately released.

The patrol is investigating, with help from the Carver County sheriff’s office and Chaska police.
