Published - Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Five injured in crash near Galesville GALESVILLE, Wis. — Five people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning on Hwy. 53 just southeast of Galesville, according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department. A car northbound on Hwy. 53 crossed the centerline about 7:20 a.m. and struck two southbound vehicles about a half-mile south of the Decorah Wayside, the department stated. Four people were transported to area hospitals, and one was flown to a La Crosse hospital by Gundersen Lutheran MedLink Air helicopter. The sheriff’s department would not release any names, but stated none of the injuries are life-threatening and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
