Betty Christiansen, author of “Knitting for Peace,” will speak at 11:30 a.m. June 14 at
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 420 West Ave. S., during a salad and dessert luncheon.
“Scandinavian Non-violent Resolution of Conflict Sunday,” celebrating when Norway peacefully achieved independence from Sweden, will be at the 9 a.m. service Sunday at Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church, S1801 N. Stoddard Road, Stoddard, Wis. Norwegian cheese and Swedish flatbread will be served after the service.
“Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power” Vacation Bible School for children ages 4 to 10 will be Aug. 11-15 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska, Wis. Faith Lutheran Church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wis., Messiah Lutheran Church in La Crescent, Minn., and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in West Salem, Wis., are sponsoring the program here. Led by the Rev. Ken Klaus, the Lutheran Hour airs for a half-hour.
