We Say

New general manager John Hammond made his first big move for the Bucks by trading Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons to the New Jersey Nets for Richard Jefferson. I think this is a big move for Milwaukee.

Simmons was doing nothing but eating cap space for Milwaukee. And while Yi has a pretty big upside, the question marks about how good he really will be are equally as pressing.

Meanwhile, Jefferson has been a proven player throughout his seven seasons in the NBA. Plus, last season he played in all 82 games and among those who played every game of the season was the third-highest scorer.

Jefferson’s acquisition is a big step in the winning direction for Milwaukee.
