There is a great division happening now in America. There are those who believe the Constitution is the “Law of the Land,” and others who try to tell us we must drop our individual rights in the name of security because of the “war on terror.”
More people are killed by automobile accidents in the United States than terrorists, yet we see no “war” on the automobile “terror” that is taking so many innocent lives every day broadcast by the current news media.
One has to wonder when high-level government officials decide to tell us that when the Supreme Court rules against things the current administration is doing, we are threatened with losing another American city.
Congress and the executive branch have already decided the Constitution is a useless piece of paper. Let us hope that America can celebrate many more birthdays, and not fall prey to those who wish to destroy our liberties through illegal legislation and illogical fear.
Choose wisely, America, as to if you believe in the Constitution, or if you believe that individual rights should be abandoned by “executive decree,” as it was in Nazi Germany, and martial law is the way of the future for America. Like those who signed the Declaration of Indepen-dence on July 4, 1776, I have made my choice. Happy birthday, America!
