(AP) — The Benton County sheriff's office said it has arrested a 21-year-old St. Joseph man in connection with two large diesel thefts in June. The man was arrested after investigators received a tip about a vehicle that may have been used in the theft at a storage facility in St. Joseph. A search of the area turned up an enclosed trailer that contained a 325-gallon tank, an electric pump and hoses. There was a small amount of diesel still in the tank. The trailer also was reported stolen from North Dakota. About $3,100 worth of diesel fuel was stolen from Helena Chemical Company and Sands Repair in Longola Township on June 20 and 21. The man was taken to the Benton County Jail.
