Guthrie: Personal reasons sidelined Rock at Olympic Trials
By staff and wire reports
.
EUGENE, Ore. — Former UW-La Crosse runner Andrew Rock was scratched from his 400-meter preliminary heat at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials on Sunday, according to an online report by a Wausau TV reporter. Mark Guthrie, Rock’s coach, said it was for personal reasons, reported Bryon Graff of WAOW-TV.
Rock earned a gold medal in the 1,600 relay at the 2004 Olympic Games.
