Scuba diver, 61, dies after diving in Vilas County

LAND O'LAKES, Wis. (AP) — Vilas County authorities have identified the scuba diver who died this week after a dive in the town of Land O'Lakes.

Deputies said Thursday the man was 61-year-old Michael M. Lenz of Little Chute.
Authorities received a 911 call about 2 p.m. Wednesday reporting a diver in distress on Joyce Lake

Deputies found Lenz unresponsive and not breathing. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death has not been determined.
