" I guess one could argue that there would be no need for a road to a swamp watching platform if the hotel wern't in the way!George will play the DNR card surely both state and federal for sure tying this thing up in court forever.NSD LET IT GO! "

" Lets see how much we can spend in court on this King Mark!!! Maybe we can hire a former employee to referee a wrist wrestling match between Borsheim and Collins, the winner gets his way,the loser picks the new H.R. position!!!(LOL) Dont blame me I voted for Deak!!!!!! "

" Do not forget that this is the thrid kick at the can for this overlapping cast of characters. In thre different local areas. One being Onalaska, where they were turned down cold for economic /financial help. All helping hands meant for blighted areas. I'll bet you did not know that so much of our surrounding area was blighted? Blighted property on high volume choice frontage. I also beleive it is fair to draw a line that the Hotel market has a void to support this type of addition by itself with no help from our tax maney, be it State or Municiapl funds. Now, that would include a road to a viewing stand, to look at a swamp, being used in turth to sidestep a need to pull the condemnation stick to wave at a 90 some year property tax paying business entity. " This issue should not even go before the council and waste more time. Like stated, they bought property they knew had an easement. The only reason they are pushing for this is because they did not get the agreement they wanted when looking to build a hotel downtown. It makes you wonder if because Borsheim did not get what he wanted doewntown, and he complained about the sign, the good ole boys said, " Dont worry, well take care of it." Let Collins sign alone Borsheim before the city goes after you because someone bigger wants help. Remeber what goes around comes around. " "

" I am sorry, the City has no condemnation stick available to shake at Collins unless it would have constructed this $100,000 new idea, road to nowhere to bypass legal requirements to implement the condemnation process? "

" A City leader admitted last night that the street was initiated after the 'impasse between NSD and Collins on the sign. This is the saddest part of this entire process. The City is so intent on this project for their favored developer they have initiated the threat of taking the sign by implementing a road to force Collins to 'negotiate'? The Road? The road is billed to deliver people to a viewing stand to look at the swamp? Boy, the 'deck' should be worn out on this one? THE CITY HAS NO RIGHT TO INTERVENE ON THIS ONE, NO RIGHT!!! "

" Does Jonhnsrud subscribe to the school of thought: "You can have any position as long as it's mine?"
Hope you enjoyed your time in office, fella. When you build your platform on helping businesses, some businesses win, some lose. I'm sure this sounds fine until you're on the losing end of it. "

" The Council, consisting largely of Johnsrud minions basically told the Collins family to go back to the negotiating table. Gee, what if the Collins family does not want to sell the sign rights. really seems like a adverse start to begin 'negotiating' on? What a joke, 'arrive at a price or else'. Do you think North Side Development has a leg up on this one? The mayor stated tonight, "Are City is changing", "government is here to provide that view of the future"? The only problem is that it seems to be the Jackson Street Gunslinger and his Deputy Kirch's vision. I think I threw up in my mouth. "
