Woman fatally shot in New Brighton : La Crosse Tribune

NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. (AP) � Police are searching for the man who fatally shot a woman outside a home in New Brighton.

The 48-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen. A dispatch supervisor said she later died at a hospital. Her name has not been released.
Police said the suspect also shot at another member of the victim's family, but that person was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a 21-year-old white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. Police said he may be driving a silver Toyota Corolla with Minnesota license plate number XTX-016.

Police said the suspect may still have a handgun and should not be approached.
