MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minneapolis police lieutenant has been reinstated four months after he was put on leave pending a federal criminal investigation.

Lt. Lee Edwards and officer Mike Roberts both were put on paid administrative leave in April in connection with the federal investigation.
Roberts was indicted Monday on corruption charges for allegedly accepting money for giving confidential information to an undercover informant posing as a gang member.

A police department spokesman confirmed Edwards was back at work but wouldn't comment further.

Edwards is among five black officers suing the department over allegations of race discrimination.
