15-month-old girl dies in swimming pool

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A 15-month-old girl has drowned in her family’s swimming pool in Fond du Lac County.

The sheriff’s department says a 911 emergency call of a child not breathing came in at 10;34 a.m. Saturday from a home in the town of Osceola.

Deputies and paramedics were sent to the scene, and the girl was rushed to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where she was pronounced dead.

The girl’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The incident remains under investigation.
