Published - Monday, July 21, 2008 Hold Kapanke accountable It must be nice to be a state senator like Dan Kapanke: Free Cracker Jacks and the privilege of disregarding a law you don’t like when it might cost you or your business money. You can just pressure the people in charge of enforcing that ever-so-annoying law into giving you a special waiver. According to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist, that’s exactly what Dan Kapanke did to avoid building more women’s bathrooms at his baseball stadium. It was a sneaky move that saved him nearly a quarter of a million dollars. Dan thinks that because he is a part of the league, he gets to change the rules of the game; he can’t. It doesn’t and shouldn’t work that way. Dan needs to be held accountable for this.
