Blue Stars take bronze medal
The La Crosse Blue Stars scored a season-high 83.35 points Monday to capture the bronze medal at Drums of Summer in Broken Arrow, Okla.
The Blue Stars finished close to the Blue Knights of Denver, Colo., who had 84.845 points. The Cavaliers of Rosemont, Ill., won the gold medal with 91.25 points.
The Colts of Dubuque, Iowa, were fourth with 80.2 points, the Troopers of Casper, Wyo., were fifth with 77.1 points and the Academy of Tempe, Ariz., finished sixth with 72.8 points.
The Blue Stars are off today and will compete Wednesday in Van Buren, Ark.
