Published - Wednesday, July 23, 2008 Hancock will bring change As a resident of the 94th Assembly District, I find it hard to believe that Rep. Mike Huebsch is proud of “changing the demeanor” in Madison. Recent decisions by moderate Republicans Terry Musser to leave the Legislature and Jeff Wood to leave the Republican Party serve as evidence that their party leadership is divisive and out of touch with those they represent. In Reid Magney’s River Valley Blog post “Money and Politics in the 94th District,” Rep. Huebsch is even quoted as saying he has not been doing the work of the district he was elected to represent; instead he has been busy traveling around Wisconsin recruiting candidates and fundraising. How much more evidence do we need to realize that Mike Huebsch is not here to truly represent those of us in his district? Fortunately, we will have a choice this fall with a viable candidate in Cheryl Hancock. On Nov. 4, the choice is clear — do you want to continue the same old partisan politics in Madison, or are you ready for a positive change? I am voting for a change. I am voting for Cheryl Hancock.
