Thanks to all for your help

Several weeks ago I began my 85th year in God’s country, something many did not expect on Aug. 18, 1996, when I was hit by a car. I’m recovering with the help of prayers and best wishes from so many, and great care from Franciscan Skemp Healthcare.

Although I have serious health problems today, Franciscan Village on Ninth Street offers great food, shelter and friends, and other caregivers see that I have all my needs provided.

Special thanks to all for the party, my “Casino kids,” Loren and Gary for seeing that I could travel. It’s the visits, of course, that mean so much, to see family, friends and grandchildren Layna and Nicholas, that I look forward to each new day.

Thank you to the many caring people of the La Crosse area, including Charles Gellatt for advancing a pattern for giving, local churches and charities, The Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
