Maybe Milwaukee’s Manny Parra and Prince Fielder were having a disagreement about what the Green Bay Packers should do with Brett Favre on Monday before Fielder twice shoved Parra in the infamous dugout altercation — we all know how heated those conversations can get.

Fights between teammates are nothing new in baseball, and if it takes a shoving match to get a rollercoaster contender back on the right track, the Brewers should put a few pairs of boxing gloves next to the box of sunflower seeds and Gatorade.

But that won’t be necessary. Memories are short and teammates move on in baseball (Can you say Mitchell Report?). And based on how the Brewers have played since Monday’s outburst, the talking heads seem to be the only ones concerned about it.

Brewers closer Solomon Torres said it best after Wednesday’s 6-3 win over the Reds:

“We’re a unit, a family. Like any other family, everything’s not going to be pretty. But it will be forgotten the next day. That’s the attitude a winning team has.”
