Illegal aliens hurt U.S. citizens

.
A story in the July 21 Tribune stated that Wisconsin may have to borrow money from the federal government. The reason for this is that the unemployment fund is going broke. Also, a recent TV news story stated that a majority of our state representatives voted to increase the unemployment weekly allocations.

Our unemployment is well over 5 percent now because there are not enough jobs.
Another article in the July 21 Tribune stated that federal police raided an agribusiness in Iowa and found almost 300 illegal immigrants working there. Most of those employees had Social Security numbers that were not theirs.

Taking up to three years to clean up this financial mess for each citizen who has their Social Security number falsely used and multiply that by 20 million and you can see the problem caused to American citizens by these illegal employees.

Why do most of our elected officials bury their heads in the sand when this subject comes up? Maybe it’s ignored by one party because with a Social Security card, illegal immigrants can get a driver’s license, rent or purchase a home, collect state and federal benefits, and lastly, but most importantly, they can vote. The other party receives political donations from businesses that like low-wage employees.

Everyone is happy now: the politician gets re-elected, the illegal immigrant gets to stay here and the unemployed get a raise. That brings us a full 360 degrees and everyone wins except the legal American taxpayer.
