It’s dangerous to seek change

.
Why is it whenever people try to help society they end up arrested or dead?

For instance, at Fort McCoy 13 people were arrested just because they wanted to talk to an official of the military about the war, but they thought otherwise and sent them to jail for trespassing. They are walking 450 miles to promote peace, and Fort McCoy can’t give them support.
Ever since time itself, people have been killed while promoting change for the better, for example; Jesus, John Lennon, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, etc. Why are we so desperate for change, and whenever somebody does come around and try to make it happen they end up extinct?
.
