Imagine what the outcome would have been if President Bush had ignored all of the intelligence available, and the beliefs of most Democrats that Sadaam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and we were attacked again.
Then the liberals would have been quick to blame the president. (Need I remind Mr. Young that our homeland has not been attacked since Sept. 11, 2001?) He states that “Our government has been illegally spying on American citizens.” Is that according to his perceived facts? I don’t believe anyone has been indicted for doing that.
Also, he states that the administration has unlawfully politicized the Justice Department. Based on what evidence? He should check with Bill Clinton, who I believe fired 92 Justice Department officials. Could any of them have been for political reasons? John McCain could fill him in on what is real torture. Would he prefer to release enemy combatants so they could kill more Americans?
Also, he shouldn’t forget that gas was $2.24 per gallon in 2006 when his Democrat heroes took over both houses of Congress, and made promises of what they were going to do over the first 100 hours and beyond. Ha! I expect that their incompetence is “Bush’s fault.”
