Get ready to watch grains of sand turn into works of art. It’s time for CenturyTel's Sand on the Riverfront today and Saturday at Riverside Park.

Sand sculpting begins at 9:30 a.m. today with 12 teams and a few master sculptors. Visitors can purchase sand dollars to vote for their favorite sand sculpture.
Other fun is in store during the two-day event. Check out therapy dogs from 10 a.m.to noon; the car and tractor show from 11 a.m.to 6 p.m.; cow milking races from noon to 2 p.m. and more.
