Thank God I moved to Holmen to spend my senior years near my children and grandchildren. I chose Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center because it seemed to meet all of my medical needs for my chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Taking all hospitals for granted and hearing people complain about their care, I thought all hospitals were the same; but to my pleasant surprise I was proven wrong when suddenly July 6.
I was admitted to Gundersen Lutheran for exacerbation of my COPD and newly diagnosed with congestive heart failure. From the emergency room through two weeks of testing and care by teams of doctors and nurses, CNAs, PAs, NPs and RTs (I hope I didn’t miss anyone) I cannot find anything at all negative to say about the staff.
Whatever their “title” or “degree,” from the beginners to the specialists, they all had the same loving attitude, compassion, caring and workmanship. I could feel they really do care. I will never forget the faces of each one of you who helped me through a hard time. I’m sure so many other hospitals have a great staff also; but Gundersen Lutheran stands out as No. 1 in my ratings! God bless all of our angels of mercy!
